Tubular Wire Wound Rheostat
Ramson Tubular Rheostats consists of resistance wire wound on a former that is made from solid drawn round insulated tubes ensuring great mechanical strength and sturdiness. The resistance wire is cupronickel (also known as Copper-nickel) alloy and oxidized to provide long term stability and insulation. The tube is fitted in two end castings insulated with micanite cups. The brush gear are highly polished slide rod.

In many applications large value of resistance are required to be accommodated in small space but at the same time the current rating of the resistance varies from lowest to the highest values of the resistance.
